Getting to know the new University culture a bit this week. As we wrap up the semester, OU hosted two conferences.

At CALL,I conducted a workshop to help folks build their own mobile games.

At Spotlight I presented a slightly new take on Games and Learning - that games were on the path to take over learning across contexts.

Quicktime versions of the slides are to the right.

Also, there are informal uses of technology that show promise for teacher PD. I suggest that principals seek out technology that 1) Offers new affordances, 2) Encourages student production, over consumption, and 3) is designed well and intuitively.

GAMES FOR RELEVANT LEARNING
The second session was more typically an introduction to interesting and relevant games for educational use.
